The origins

Preserving our winemaking heritage

In 2018 we launched a project for the recovery of old vineyard varieties, with DO Pla de Bages and Manresa City Council. This is a project of great value in the wine-making history of our country. An initiative led by DO Pla de Bages, with the three-way participation of Manresa City Council, which lends the Torre Lluvià for planting the rescued vines, Collbaix Celler El Molí, that makes the vinification of the recovered varieties, and AMPANS foundation, which oversees the planting and looks after the vineyards.

Recovering the memory of winegrowers

Through this project, we are recovering and preventing the disappearance of old local varieties of vines, which were at risk of extinction. We have been able to recover them mostly thanks to the memory of winegrowers and farmers. The agricultural land of the modernist house Torre Lluvià is surrounded by vineyards of recovered local varieties such as Malvesia Manresana, Malvesia Roja, Muscat, Negrelló, Pansa and Pansera.
